Cryotech E36® Lavatory Antifreeze

Cryotech E36® lavatory antifreeze is a potassium acetate-based freeze point depressant used as a component in aircraft lavatory fluid. Easy to handle, E36 lavatory antifreeze has a low freeze point and is safe for the environment.

Benefits

  • Effectively used as the antifreeze component of aircraft lavatory fluids
  • Easy to handle
  • Safe for the environment
  • Non-hazardous
  • Cost effective
  • Complimentary customer training upon request

Performance

  • Successfully used by major airlines and military
  • Has a low freeze point of -76°F (-60°C)
  • Formulated to protect aircraft metals

Environment

  • BOD is less than one-third that of propylene glycol formulations
  • Readily biodegradable
  • Does not contain glycols or alcohols
  • Recognized as “relatively harmless” by U.S. Fish and Wildlife scale

Handling

  • Polyethylene or stainless steel containers are preferred, otherwise use carbon or low alloy steel
  • Best practices include storing totes and drums in areas protected from weather and exposure to direct sunlight
  • Application - may be diluted to desired freeze point
  • Non-toxic, safe for workers - see product SDS
  • Lavatory antifreeze should not be stored, piped or plumbed through systems that use galvanized, zinc, or brass components
  • Generally adds no special disposal concern, but contact your local airport or WWTP for site specific considerations
