Cryotech Connects with a Cause
FORT MADISON, IA…For the second year running Cryotech was named the top fundraising team for North Lee County Relay for Life. Raising over $10,000 for the American Cancer Society’s signature activity to fight back against cancer.
“We were extremely pleased with this year’s event.” said Angie Budnik, Community Relations Director, Fort Madison Community Hospital. “It is always so wonderful to see the whole community come together in our fight against cancer. Our top fundraising team this year was Cryotech Deicing Technology contributing more than $10,000 to our total of $85,000. We had a unique opportunity this year to enroll participants in the Cancer Research Study, and thank the 140 community members who took our fight to the next level and enrolled. This is one of the most rewarding events our community undertakes and we thank everyone who joined us as we celebrated, remembered and fought back!”
Throughout 2011 the Cryotech Relay for Life team organized multiple fundraisers, including monthly home cooked lunches, a salsa competition, garage sale, and a poker tournament. Cryotech employees helped by donating food, money, and baked goods.
